Is Remote Thermovision Sounding indepentend or requires previous seismic or other data?
RTS is a stand-alone geophysical method based on the study of the thermal properties of the geological environment.
What results does RTS provide?
The most important outcome - identification of prospective areas and delineation of oil-bearing/mineral areas. Additionally, we create 3D model of oil-bearing/ mineral zone and estimate its geometric volime.
Can RTS be used offshore?
RTS is effective for both on-/off-shore projects.
Will RTS identify location of seams, thickness and 3D view of seams?
Yes, that’s exactly what we do in our surveys.
What is the processing time of RTS survey?
RTS survey is more time-effective compared to traditional methods. Indicatively, projects of 5000 km2 ~8 months.
Is RTS method able to distinguish gas from oil accumulation?
Yes, identification of a particular type of hydrocarbon depends on a different set of signs, although the conditions of formation may be the same. We use different approaches and instruments for oil analysis and gas analysis.
What is the resolution of RTS?
It depends on resolution of raw satellite images. Average benchmark is 60m, though sometimes images with 20m resolution are available
What is the difference between RTS and other satellite-based technologies?
RTS supports conversion of a field into a depth model, thus we are able to provide models of block-and-fault structure, homogeneity and localize sources of thermal fields.
